LAUREN BANK DEEN

Lauren Bank Deen is a mom, executive board member of her children's public school PTA, and multiple Emmy-award and James Beard award winning lifestyle television producer. She is uniquely qualified as an expert in the world of food, families, style and fun. Lauren was the first sous-chef at Food Network, a series producer for Martha Stewart for over six years, and is the principal and executive producer of Cake Productions, a television and broadband production company specializing in lifestyle programming. Lauren has developed and produced series and programs for Food Network, CBS News, Lifetime Television, and Buena Vista Television, creating and producing shows for such diverse talents as Ina Garten, Bobby Flay, Vera Wang, and Dweezil Zappa. She is also a food trend consultant to brand development and media strategists, including Red Scout, Mindshare Entertainment and Pepsico. Lauren is a Blue Ribbon graduate of Peter Kump's NY Cooking School (I.C.E.), a member of the IACP, the Beard Foundation, and Spoons Across America, and is on the advisory board of the Youth Advocacy Center. Additionally, her strong interest in teaching healthy eating habits to children and families has led her to create The Healthy Family Project for her PTA. She also volunteers in New York City public elementary schools, teaching curriculum-related healthy eating and cooking classes. She lives in Brooklyn with her husband Anthony, an architect and their two children, Mathias, 5 1/2 and Natasha, 4.
